La Collectionneuse — she who collects — is the hostess of a cinematic salon for lovers of film and MUSIC.

Every month, La Collectionneuse reaches deep into her stash of cinéma français—  and now international cinema— from rare shorts and scopitones to feature film discoveries, from challenging experimentation to lovable classics— followed, as always, by drinks and conversations.
In the past, La Collectionneuse has hosted a cycle of films by Jacques Rivette at the Bob Baker theater, an outdoor screening of Truffaut’s Jules et Jim at Barnsdall Art Park, with wines from Silverlake Wine and live music by Tortoise, Le Magnifique intro-ed by none other than Jacqueline Bisset, a showcase of Rohmer’s 6 Moral Tales, and a month-long curated retrospective of  Olivier Assayas, with Assayas in house for Q&As and presentations. Her screenings are usually followed by public conversations with artists— Assayas, Bisset, Jackie Raynal, Kim Gordon, Bruno Dumont, and Roxane Mesquida— as well as music  and art,  such as accordionist Andy Favre or Dosshaus’ unforgettable installation for Innocence.
For when La Collectionneuse collects, she gathers together not only her favorite films, but her favorite people.
